‘For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth.’ This painting (done in acrylic and also transparent silicon sealer), shows how we relate to the truth, and how it affects us. The lower part of the picture is a colourful representation of us. We are complex, and different compared to the truth. The upper part of the picture shows the truth, depicted by the white lines. Truth is massive and dominant compared to us, but simple, singular. Truth is truth, and we cannot affect it, or change it, but, it can affect and change us, if we desire. Whatever way the people below see the truth, from whatever angle, or direction, they cannot hide from it. Truth, as shown, can be hard-edged, sharp and cutting.
We can support the truth, or we can ignore it for now, but one Day, we will all have to face the truth, Acts 17 verse 31. Face the truth. God sent His Son into the world to save sinners. Better to face this truth now and let if affect you, than on that great Day, when the hearts of all will be revealed before God.
